Tulsi Tea

TULSI TEA
Sitting with tea
Me, myself and me.
Sipping the tea,
Wondering internally.

…Who is this me
That sips the tea?
Is it this body,
Knuckle, elbow and knee?

Is it this mind,
That won’t let me be?
That churns, and burns, and worries,
Like a dog tortured by a flea?

Is it this heart,
Pulsing inside of me,
The seat of my love,
Sometimes locked, where is the key?

Or is it this tiny voice,
Speaking inside of me,
That keeps me on course,
Makes me act like a tree?

So I sit with my tea,
Put it inside of me,
Allow it to nourish,
Every part of me.
